Jean-Claude Van Damme (Jean-Claude Camille Francois Van Varenberg) was born on the 18th of October in 1960, he is a Belgian actor and martial artist. He made many popular martial arts and action films such as Bloodsport, Cyborg, Kickboxer, Double Impact, Universal Soldier, Timecop, Street Fighter, etc.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is known as The Muscles from Brussels, because he stands at five foot ten inches tall, and is one hundred seventy six pounds of ripped muscle. His wife is Gladys Portugues, a very well known American bodybuilder, together they make the ultimate fitness couple.


Jean-Claude Van Damme Workout Routine


Jean-Claude has an amazing physique that he build with intense bodyweight exercises and weight training, working out 6 days a week.

Van Damme trained at Vince's Gym, under the watchful eye of Vince Gironda, who was the trainer of the stars.

To build size Vince put him on his special Six Week Bulk Course, which as designed to gain maximum muscle size in minimum time.

This routine is an upper body and lower body split routine, working upper body 3 times a week and lower body 3 times a week, then taking 1 day off to rest.

Each muscle is worked with a one giant set of four different exercises, there is no rest between each exercise, giving the muscle no choice but to adapt and grow bigger and stronger!

Jean-Claude Van Damme also did stretching, bicycling and kickboxing to help burn off body fat.

Vince Gironda put him on his famous Maximum Definition Diet, which gets the fastest fat loss results, getting you ripped while maintaining lean muscle mass.

It is a high protein and fat diet (lots of eggs and steak), but very low in carbohydrates, except for one high carbohydrates meal every 4-5 days.
