Clint Walker Workout

Norman Eugene "Clint" Walker was born in Hartford, Illinois USA on May 30th 1927 is a retired American actor and singer. Clint is best known for the role he played as Cheyenne Bodie in an ABC/Warner Brothers TV series called Cheyenne. Clint had a twin sister and they both started training at a young age.
Clint left school early to work in a factory and then on a river-boat before joining the US Merchant Marines at 17 at the end of World War II. Clint Walker was a good looking man standing 6"6' tall and with doing just a little bit of exercise he had a 49-inch chest and a 32-inch waist.
When Clint was offered an acting role in a western movie he had no experience of acting but taught himself quickly what the basics were and when his director suggested that he gain a bit more muscle Clint joined Vince's gym. Vince Gironda actually spent a lot of time teaching Clint the basics of weight training and how to gain muscle.
In Vince's own words Vince said that Clint Walker was without a doubt the most physically impressive, big man that he had ever seen. Vince Gironda suggested his time tested muscle building cycle of 5 X 5, 6 X 6, and 8 X 8 routine. Clint started training regularly at Vince's gym and soon got the rewards doing the following routine three times a week:
Front Lateral Raises 3 X 8 reps Chest Dips 3 X 8 reps Front Lat Pulldowns 3 X 8 reps Triceps Rope Pulldowns 3 X 8 reps Barbell Curls 3 X 8 reps Hack Squats 3 X 8 reps Seated Calf Raises 3 X 8 reps Frog Sit-ups 3 X 8 reps
This routine to be trained three times a week for a month then, Clint would start his second month which increased the weights lifted doing 5 X 5 reps, after the third month Clint took it a step farther by doing 6 X 6 reps. On the fourth month Clint will peak doing 8 X 8 reps for a month.
