Charles Bronson Workout
Charles Bronson (Charles Dennis Buchinsky) was born on November 3, 1921 and died August 30, 2003). He was an American actor who was the number one box office attraction in his day. He was often cast in tough guy roles such as police officers, gunfighters and vigilantes.
Some of his best know movies are Death Wish, The Great Escape, The Dirty Dozen, The Magnificent Seven, The Mechanic, Hard Times, Mr. Majestyk, etc.
He was six foot, three inches tall and weighed two hundred and five pound, with and very muscular and ripped physique.
He built his muscles first by doing heavy labor when he was young, he also did boxing, running, calisthenics, rope climbing, swimming and of course weight training.
Charles Bronson Workout Routine
Charles Bronson was one of many Hollywood actors who was coached by Vince Gironda, at the famous Vince's gym in Studio City, California.
Vince was known to train movie stars and transform them into having a steelworker's body in only 10 days. He did this with a daily weight training circuit, moving from one exercise to the next with no rest.
The exercises in the circuit are: Barbell bench press to neck, alternate dumbbell rows, side dumbbell laterals; lying barbell triceps extensions, seated dumbbell curls, seated barbell wrist curls, stomach crunch, front squats and standing calf raise.
Charles Bronson Diet
Following Vince Gironda's advice, Charles Bronson got lean and ripped muscles by cutting out sugar, candy, bread, etc. and eating a high protein and low carbohydrate diet. He ate mostly raw salads, eggs and steak, and would have a carb up meal every forth or fifth day.
He also took supplements such as digestive enzymes, kelp, vitamin C, choline, inositol and desiccated liver.
